Workshops

We have developed a range of workshops in each area we address. Our workshops aim to support community wellbeing in particular topic areas, for example, relating with young people in ways that are joyful, present, mindful, respectful, and supportive of creativity, independence, and interdependence.

After a brief introduction, our workshops primarily use participant-driven discussion and interactive exercises. Most workshops can include nurslings and older children at the discretion and convenience of their caregiver(s).

Presenter Bio: Ryan McAllister, Ph.D.

Ryan works as a biophysicist at Georgetown University and coordinates NotJustSkin, an educational charity dedicated to supporting the well-being of children and parents. He facilitates workshops, gives talks, and researches and writes articles to promote a warm start to life and positive interactions between children and adults. With experience in scientific literature, Nonviolent Communication, and peer-style counseling, Ryan aims to compassionately address a range of complex, controversial issues.
